Tygas

The Tygas are our Champion Team of the Week for a number of reasons—they exhibit enthusiasm for the game, fair play and respect for others, all while remaining competitive and having fun. They also are pretty successful at what they do—they are 2-0 with an average margin of victory of 19 points!

Because the Tygas are undefeated, you may think that they spend a lot of time practicing and drawing up plays…not so with this bunch. They say that some of their team “rituals” are to “give Lior a hard time, give the ball to H-Bomb at the end of a blowout, and to miss key free throws.” But they have their key players to fall back on—Pete Rehnquist is the one they turn to for the alley-oop. They say that he is successful dunking the ball at least 20% of the time. Tim McLaughlin is their hustler—apparently he “likes to fall on the court at least 5 times a game.” But it is Dinoe Wilson who has the special talent—he likes to bank his free throws…we wonder if he is shooting those “key” ones they talked about earlier…Either way, they have found a way to have fun and to end the game with a win—not always an easy task. Keep up the good work, guys!
