Crusty’s Pizza
Crusty’s Pizza is a group of post-grads that just can’t stay away. This particular group has been together for 2 years and is named after a pizza joint owned by the family of the team captain. No wonder their team quote is, “Two large 1-item pizzas for $12.99. Not available Friday or Saturdays.” They must have been business majors…
As this team is a bit more seasoned here are some tidbits they have picked up on their journeys…live and learn, boy and girls:
*Be careful about what you do, not just what you say—John Hart was once arrested for impersonating a professional mime.
*It’s ok to be drunk with happiness, just no too drunk—Todd Peters proposed to his fiancé after one too many and didn’t remember it the next morning.
*And remember, once a Champion, always a Champion--Jim Andriotis was the 4th grade spelling champion in the city of Warwick and now his is styling in his Champion hoodie, proud of being part of the Team of the Week.

THE GO–GOS
The Go–Gos were chosen because of their impressive movement of the ball on the court, teamwork, and passion for the game. When you see their name you think ”We Got the Beat,“ but it goes much deeper than that. They got their name from the Zulu word for grandmother because they are all staff or grad students and therefore older than most other teams. They also liked it because it implies energy and endurance. Their personal team quote is, ”Motion“. Are you sensing the theme here? They also wanted to add, ”We really LOVE our new Champion sweatshirts!“

BUCK NORRIS
This week’s Champion Team of the Week is Buck Norris. Buck Norris is a team that likes to enjoy themselves and doesn’t take anything too seriously—when asked how long they had been a team they responded, ”we’ve been a team as long as any of us can remember. So probably like a couple months?“ Not only do they excel at humor, they also show amazing effort on the court. They came back from a 16–point deficit, even after one of their players had to leave the game due to an injury. They had amazing teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the game as well.
In true sportsman–like fashion, they have dedicated this season to the memory of Buck Norris, a true American all star, R.I.P. Also being good sports, they have left their mascot at home. Their team mascot is a Black Lab puppy named Boss. They’d bring him to games but he’d probably pee on the court and eat people’s shoes—again, just looking out for the greater good. Congratulations, Buck No—in your own words, remember:
If you’re not first, you’re last.
Ducks fly together.
Let’s go shake their hands

TEAM MOVEMENT
Our Champion Team of the Week is Team Movement. The actual team name has been changed to protect the innocent—the team captain saw someone with this screen name and thought it was funny and unique, but unfortunately, it isn’t quite fit for print on this page. They say that the team has a good sense of humor and it really shows in their enthusiasm and passion for the game. They were chosen as Team of the Week for their excellent team work and energy on the court. They have only been together a couple of months but have been able to develop a great core of players. They also support each other off the court and understand that everyone has a busy schedule and that academics come first.

YOUR MOM’S FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE
Team Fortress approaches every game with confidence. Before each game they cheer, “I don’t think they know who we are. Let’s let them know who is going to win tonight on 3. 1&hell&hell…FORTRESS.” These players are well rounded athletes who exhibit enthusiasm and sportsmanship on the court. Even though Team Fortress may not be well recognized yet, we know they are on their way to being noble Champions.

PETCO
Petco has been together for 4 years, picking up new talent every now and then. Under their former name “derrty” they were a force, winning the championships in 3v3 and 4v4. They have set their sights on winning the 5v5 championship and think their new name is going to take them there. They don’t just work hard on the court, however. Most of the members of this diverse group are pre-med. The team motto is, “YUH.”
